Camelback Ventures makes education and social entrepreneurship equitable through a fellowship for people of color and women. On our lean startup team as employee #4, I led all of our marketing and communications, recruitment efforts, and our early strategic outreach. Some projects included digital marketing, content creation and curation (including revitalizing our blog which features stories and resources from Fellows, team, and Startup Coaches), designing collateral, social media, website design and management, video production, event support, and building partnerships including with StartingBloc and NationSwell. I also taught mar/comm and partnerships to the entrepreneurs in our Fellowship.

I joined Camelback in the summer of 2016 as Creative Director, and soon led the organization in a massive rebranding project as well as a new website. I was later promoted to Director of Creative & Marketing, taking on additional leadership responsibilities including recruitment, strategic partnerships, and alumni engagement. The year that I ran our recruitment efforts, I tripled the number of applications we received ((180 in 2017; 530 in 2018). I ran all of Camelback’s creative and communications outreach from Summer 2016 - December 2018, and continued to consult with Camelback through all of 2019 and in early 2020.
